Gerald G. Ricard Scholarship Committee
Uncle Gerald told me a story that inspired the Gerald G. Ricard Scholarship.
When he returned from the Navy after WWII, he wanted to use his VA Benefits to go to school. However, his father told him he did not need to have an education to follow a horse and plow around a field.
Gerald always said, his biggest regret in life, was to not be able to have an education. He was an avid reader and interested in technical skills.
His keen eye was able recognize kids that had the motivation to be more than they were. Having no children of his own, it was his wish to establish a local scholarship that could propel a student forward.

It is our greatest pleasure to be a part of his legacy. We can't wait for you to select us to be part of your journey!
